Hermanno Boerhaave: Aphorismi de Cognoscendis et Curandis Morbis.
In Usum Doctrinae Domesticae Digesti.
Herman Boerhaave (1668 - 1738) was a Dutch physician and professor of medicine who was the first great clinical, or “bedside,” teacher. He spent the whole of his professional life at the University of Leiden, serving as professor of botany of medicine, rector of the university, professor of practical medicine, and professor of chemistry.
The Aphorismi (Aphorisms on the Recognition and Treatment of Diseases) is a collection of short pronouncements concerning the diagnosis and therapy of various diseases. No exact prescriptions were given. This work was hugely popular, perhaps even more than Boerhaave’s previous work, the Instititiones medicae, and numerous editions and translations spread the fame of its author all over Europe.
Herman Boerhaave (1668 - 1738) var en hollandsk læge og professor ved Leiden Universitet. Hans 'Aforismer' var en samling af korte diagnoser og råd omkring helbredelse af forskellige sygdomme.
