General Heinz Guderian: Panzer Leader.
Heinz Guderian (1888 – 1954) was a German general during the Second World War and his leadership was a key factor in Germanys early military successes.
The German general's memoirs of WWII, written during his imprisonment by the allied forces after the war, was the first publicly available source on the development of Panzer forces and remains a key document on military strategy during the war. Guderian was an advocate of the 'Blitzkrieg approach', and while his influence on this strategy is debated, he innovated the German forces, pioneered the communications system developed for the panzer units and established a policy of on-the-go refueling.
